✅ The remaining solar accessories—fencing materials and section hose accessories—were shipped Wednesday. Installation is anticipated to be completed within five days. 💪🔧
🚜 More positive news! After successful discussions, the head of the Dassenech Woreda agriculture office has committed to providing a tractor to support land tillage. This will boost efficiency for our beneficiary farmers! 🌾✨
👥 Our technical officer has also met with the beneficiary group to plan farming area clearance—laying the groundwork for a productive season ahead. 🌿🤝

🚀 Field Visit from our Donor Canada Fund for Local Initiatives 💡
This week we had the pleasure of hosting a visit from Mr James Johnson advisor and consultant to the Canadian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Iraq, Mr Christopher Boehm.
Mr Johnson visited our ongoing ICT classes at the Al Noor Institute for students who are visually challenged and met with the the institute`s director to discuss how our project seeks to address the ongoing challenges for students with disabilities in Basra.
Iraq has one of the largest populations of persons with disabilities in the world with UN figures suggest that approximately 12% of Iraq`s population experience some form of disability, with this figure rising to 18% among children.
Our project works to address the educational challenges faced by this significant segment of the population, promoting a more inclusive educational environment in ICTs.

📢Supporting Lebanese Guests in Iraq Mid Project Update ✅🩺⚖️
We are pleased to share a progress update on our intervention for Lebanese guests still residing in Iraq. Thanks to our dedicated teams and partners, we have successfully delivered essential services to those in need. 💙
📍 Key Achievements So Far:
🩺 Medical Support – 100 medical consultations, including essential treatments, tests, and follow-ups, provided by Iraqi Telemedicine Center.
🧠 Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) – 100+ consultations, with ongoing tele-psych follow-ups, ensuring emotional and psychological well-being.
⚖️ Legal Assistance – 100+ legal consultations provided by Mercy Path, helping Lebanese guests navigate legal challenges and access essential documentation.
As we continue this mission, our priority remains providing dignity, protection, and essential services for those who need it most.

🌞 Exciting Progress on the Eco-Irrigation Project in South Omo! 🌱🚰
Our solar-powered irrigation system is taking shape! ✅ 26 solar panels already installed, creating more than enough energy to power the 7.5 kW solar pump! Community members are also actively involved throughout the process, assisting with fitting and distribution of materials.
🔨 Next Steps:
🔹 Fencing work is underway—just waiting on delivery of gabion wire from the supplier.
🔹 100 shovels secured for local farmers.
🔹 Site clearing for land tillage is underway.
🔹 A tractor request is pending with local authorities.

💻 On January 29, 2025, we successfully hosted a Digitalisation Workshop at our Digital Library Service, bringing together 30 enthusiastic young learners (19 male, 11 female). Participants explored practical applications of digital technology, gained essential digital skills, and learned about emerging technological advancements.
